Work experience
Design Engineer
Intrinsys Ltd
Nov 2014 - present
As a Design Engineer for Intrinsys, my tasks broaden to a wide variety of fields including CAD design, Finite Element Analysis (Structural, Thermal), and Computational Fluid Dynamics. I have been trained in the use of software for vehicle ergonomic analysis and am a CATIA V5 Fundamentals trainer.
- Design (CATIA V5, V6 and, Geometric Dimensioning &Tolerancing)
- Finite Element Analysis / Computational Fluid Dynamics (Midas NFX)
- Finite Element Analysis (Abaqus CAE)
- Trainer (CATIA V5)

2013 - 2014
Main Modules: Aircraft Aerodynamics, Aircraft Stability and Control, Aircraft Performance, Computer Aided Design, Design of Airframe Systems, Design for Manufacture and Operation, Detail Stressing, Flight Experimental Methods (Jetstream Flying Laboratory), Fatigue, Fracture Mechanics and Damage Tolerance, NASTRAN / PATRAN, Design and Analysis of Composite Structures, Initial Aircraft Design, Loading Actions.
Group Project: AT-13 Advanced Technology Ultra-Green Airliner
The project: The design of a high efficiency, high aspect ratio wing, and environmental friendly passenger aircraft as the concept for the year 2030. The whole project was completed by a team of more than sixty engineers. I designed the wing folding mechanism for the composite structure version of the aircraft. Also, created the baseline CAD version of the Airplane in CATIA V5, with the rest of the CAD team, as a second task in the project.
Thesis: Ultra Long Range Scientific UAV - Polar One
UAV development, piloting and testing for flight behaviour and aerodynamic characteristics determination.
BEng Aeronautical Engineering Universidad de San Buenaventura (Bogota, Colombia)
2007 - 2013
Thesis: Design of a Rocket Engine Propelled Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
Designed a high speed Hybrid propulsion (Electric Ducted Fans and Rocket Engine) UAV as part of a team of three people. Built and flew a prototype to prove the basic flying characteristics.
